If you are not keen on having the hot brewed matcha tea in the morning, try making yourself a delectable matcha latte instead.
Making a matcha latte is quite easy to do, and you really only need a few ingredients to do it. Here is what you will need; matcha powder, a sweetener, and the milk of your preference. You can use raw honey, stevia, or agave syrup to sweeten. You can use any type of milk that you prefer to drink. If you drink cow’s milk, almond milk, coconut milk, soy milk, it will not matter. You will still prepare it in the same fashion.
What you will want to do is bring about 2/3 cup of your milk of choice to a very slow simmer in a small sauce pan on your stove, over medium high heat. You do not want to heat it up too fast, and too hot, because the milk will scorch, and your latte will be ruined. Once your milk is simmering, take your one teaspoon of matcha powder and place it in a mug or heat proof cup that is large enough to fit your milk. Slowly add in 1/3 cup of boiling water to the powder, then add your milk afterwards. If you would like a bit of foam on your latte, tilt your cup just slightly. To finish off, sweeten with your agave syrup, or whatever sweetener you prefer.
